June Tastings

Come join us in-store to kick off summer with tastings every Thursday, Friday and Saturday this month. We'll have open some of our favorite wines, spirits and ready-to-drink cocktails.

 

Thursday, June 6th — Louis & Catherine Poitout Chablis: This is a delightful, crowd-pleasing Chablis. It has a bit of salinity and mineral texture, easy citrus notes, and a pleasantly crisp finish. Great with any kind of seafood dinner. Learn more...

Friday, June 7th — Anytime Spritzes: We were really excited when we came across the Anytime canned spritzes. They share our values and make delicious cocktails from the first ever certified regenerative organic spirits. Local, queer owned, environmentally focused, and a great product. Learn more...

Saturday, June 8th — Catskill Provisions Spirits: From Claire Marin, the head distiller and beekeeper at Catskill provisions, the Pollinator Gin is  distilled from NY State corn and their own wildflower honey.  It’s infused with juniper berries and pollinator-friendly botanicals such as verbena, chamomile, and angelica. It is proofed down with mineral-rich Catskill Mountain spring water to create an aromatic gin with a round, herbaceous bouquet and hints of citrus.

The Pollinator Vodka is also distilled from NY State corn and their own wildflower honey, and proofed down with that mineral-rich Catskill Mountain spring water to create a silky, round and clean Vodka, perfect for cocktails. Saturday, June 15th — Social Hour Ready-to-Drink Cocktails: We love the Social Hour canned cocktails - some of the best ready-to-drink items we've come across. They're crafted by bartenders from Brooklyn's Clover Club cocktail bar with high quality spirits as their bases, many of those local. Learn more...

Saturday, June 22nd — Forthave BLUE Gin, Neversink Gin & Supergay Vodka: Forthave BLUE is Alton's favorite gin. Made in Brooklyn. It's infused with 18 botanicals, including juniper, grapefruit and mint, and becomes pearlescent over ice. Great in a martini, and adds a beautiful texture to cocktails. Learn more...

Neversink Spirits Gin starts with a New York State apple base spirit that is carefully distilled through a blend of 11 botanicals to create a well balanced, floral and aromatic gin.
