The Best Wines for a Summer BBQ
When choosing wines for a summer BBQ, we like easy-going, versatile options that pair well with food, but are also great to drink on their own. Crisp whites pair well with grilled seafood and salads, offering refreshing acidity. Rosé, with its fruity and vibrant character, is always perfect for sipping under the sun. Lighter reds complement grilled meats without overpowering them. Ultimately, we like to bring wines that enhance the laid-back atmosphere of a BBQ, ensuring each glass enhances the flavors of grilled dishes while keeping everyone cool and relaxed. Here are some of our favorite options, the wines we'll be bringing with us this season.
Tenuta di Fessina, Erse Etna Rosso
Black fruit, medium bodied, and an earthy finish. This Etna Rosso is very versatile, and not too heavy. Great to pair with roasted dishes or charred veg off the grill.
Camins 2 Dreams Red Wine Blend
Juicy but not overripe, this red blend from the Santa Rita Hills is a great, versatile wine with big red fruit, pleasant acidity, and a lovely long finish.
Bodegas Torremoron, Ribera Del Duero Tempranillo
Organically-farmed in Ribera del Duero - powerful juicy dark tempranillo - great with meat.
Rezabal, Txakoli de Getaria Rosé
Dry and slightly effervescent with delicate flavors of raspberries and strawberries. Bright acidity and great minerality. Sustainably farmed in the Basque region of Spain.
Soto del Vicario Go de Godello
Rich and fleshy with great acidity for balance. This is a lovely bottle to pair with pork and other hearty dishes.
