Crémant: The Not-Champagne "Champagne"
Crémant is a French sparkling wine made using the méthode traditionnelle, the same technique used in Champagne production. However, while Crémant is crafted in France, it is from outside the Champagne region. The term "Crémant" signifies sparkling wines produced under strict quality regulations, ensuring second fermentation occurs in the bottle, followed by extended aging on lees to develop complexity and finesse. While often more affordable than Champagne, Crémant does not compromise on quality, offering excellent value.
