Sustainable, Organic, Biodynamic, Woman Owner/Producer, and Black Owner/Producer
Crafted in South Africa’s Stellenbosch region, this red blend—anchored by Cabernet Sauvignon and supported by Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot—reflects winemaker Ntsiki Biyela’s dedication to sustainable viticulture and expressive, site-driven wines. As South Africa’s first Black woman winemaker, Biyela combines precision with purpose, producing a bold yet balanced cuvée. The nose reveals layers of ripe black cherry, cassis, and blackcurrant, laced with green pepper, graphite, and subtle cocoa. On the palate, it’s full-bodied and structured, showcasing rich black fruit, clove, and savory spice with hints of tobacco and smoked herbs. Refined tannins and refreshing acidity give the wine lift and longevity, while a touch of oak adds roundness without overshadowing the fruit. Long and elegant on the finish, it offers depth and complexity with a distinctly South African character. Ideal for aging, but also appealing in its youth with decanting.
