Azienda Agricola Pianora's Wermut Erborista is an artisanal vermouth crafted from certified organic Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot grapes grown on the steep, terraced vineyards of Montorfano in Coccaglio, Italy. The base wine is enriched through slow infusions of carefully selected herbs and spices, including elderflower and aromatic sweet flag, which impart distinctive floral notes. Three types of wormwood, two of which are locally sourced, along with citrine sandalwood and China calissaia bark, contribute elegant, persistent, and evolving bitter nuances. Notably, the vermouth's carmine red hue is derived from the grape blend itself, avoiding the use of caramelized sugar commonly found in other red vermouths. Pianora adheres to a natural production philosophy, adding no extra alcohol, chemical additives, artificial colorings, or caramel.
