Division Villages Béton American Red Wine is a captivating and complex blend from one of our favorite domestic producers. Crafted from grapes sourced across several premier vineyards, the 2020 vintage marked a return to ideal growing conditions, free from the challenges of wildfires, mildew, or drought seen in previous years.
At its core, this blend features Loire clone Cabernet Franc from the Applegate Valley, fermented with natural yeasts, both whole-cluster and co-fermented with Côt (Malbec). A newly sourced organic vineyard near Yakima contributed additional Côt, adding a delicate floral element. Gamay played a more significant role in this vintage, while smaller amounts of Pinot Noir and Cabernet Sauvignon completed the blend, bringing added depth and character.
Aged for 5-6 months, this wine offers a harmonious expression of its diverse components. It combines the elegance of Cabernet Franc with the vibrancy of Gamay, the richness of Malbec, and the finesse of Pinot Noir, delivering a beautifully balanced red wine with layers of complexity.
