Domaine Gouron's Chinon Rouge Cuvée Domaine is a distinguished red wine from the Loire Valley's Chinon appellation, crafted entirely from Cabernet Franc grapes. The family-owned estate, established in 1947 by René Gouron and now managed by brothers Laurent and Stéphane, spans 26 hectares around Cravant-les-Coteaux, featuring diverse terroirs of clay-limestone and siliceous clay on slopes, and gravel mixed with sand in the plains.

The wine is produced from 35-year-old vines planted predominantly in sandy and gravelly soils, with a smaller portion in flint and gravel. After meticulous harvesting and sorting, the grapes undergo fermentation and maceration in stainless steel tanks, followed by aging in the same vessels to preserve the varietal's fresh and fruity character.

In the glass, it exhibits a deep violet hue. Aromas of red plum and cassis are complemented by elegant earthy and herbaceous notes. On the palate, the wine is medium-bodied, presenting flavors of black tea and ripe red berries, with a supple texture and balanced acidity. The finish is marked by moderate tannins and a subtle smokiness.

This versatile red pairs well with roasted poultry, grilled meats, and hearty vegetable dishes, making it a suitable choice for various dining occasions.
