Hope Well Improbable Rosé
Hope Well Improbable Rosé
Hope Well's 2022 Improbable Rosé Noir is a blend of 80% Pinot Noir and 20% Chenin Blanc, sourced from Mimi Casteel's organically farmed vineyard in Oregon's Eola-Amity Hills AVA. The grapes were co-fermented, with Chenin Blanc layered between tiers of Pinot Noir and lightly treaded. After a four-day maceration, the juice was gently pressed into four neutral French oak barrels, resulting in a currant-colored wine. The Pinot contributes red berry notes and acidity and the chenin brings savory tones and breadth. This rosé offers deep color, excellent balance, and the grace characteristic of Casteel's wines. Bottled on February 14, 2023, only 930 bottles were produced, making it a rare find.
Mimi Casteel, the visionary behind Hope Well, is renowned for her commitment to regenerative farming and soil preservation. Her innovative viticultural practices have earned her recognition as a leader in natural viticulture in Oregon.
This limited-production rosé is ideal for pairing with light appetizers, seafood, or enjoying on its own during special occasions. Its unique composition and meticulous craftsmanship make it a noteworthy addition to any wine collection.
