Montenegro Amaro

Produced in Bologna since 1885 from a blend of 40 botanicals, including orange peels, vanilla, coriander, cinnamon, cardamom, and wormwood, aged through a “single-boiling” process. It’s warm amber in color with a floral-herbal nose—orange, mandarin, vanilla, and rose petal—complemented by cinnamon, clove, vanilla, and white pepper. On the palate, initial sweetness evolves into mild bitterness from gentian and wormwood, underpinned by spice, coriander, and a hint of mint. Texture is velvety, lightly sweet, and very approachable—commonly served neat or as an ingredient in cocktails.
