Mouzon-Leroux's L'Atavique Tradition Champagne is crafted in the Grand Cru village of Verzy, located in the renowned Montagne de Reims. This cuvée is composed of 65% Pinot Noir and 35% Chardonnay, sourced from 60 carefully tended micro-plots across Verzy's diverse soils, which include clay, chalk, and flint. The wine undergoes fermentation in 80% French oak and 20% stainless steel, followed by aging on lees for 36 months, allowing it to develop remarkable depth and complexity. Bottled unfined and unfiltered, this Extra Brut Champagne is disgorged with zero dosage, preserving the purest expression of its terroir.
On the nose, L'Atavique Tradition NV presents aromas of white and red berries with subtle citrus and spice notes. The palate is structured with mouthwatering acidity, with a refined and creamy mousse that enhances flavors of orchard fruits and minerality. The finish is long and refreshing.
