Papras Bio Wines Tyrnavos Melanthia Ancestral Method Semi-Sparkling Rose

Papras Bio Wines Tyrnavos Melanthia Ancestral Method Semi-Sparkling Rose

Greece > Thessalia

Papras Bio Wines' Melanthia Ancestral Method Semi-Sparkling Rosé is a distinctive Greek wine crafted from the rare Black Muscat of Tyrnavos grape. The Papras family, pioneers in organic viticulture since 1990, cultivates these grapes in the Tyrnavos region, benefiting from the cooling breezes of nearby Mount Olympus.

This wine is produced using the ancestral method, where fermentation begins in a closed tank and completes spontaneously in the bottle, resulting in fine, persistent bubbles. The process includes cold extraction and a week-long skin contact, enhancing its aromatic profile.

On the nose, Melanthia offers vivid floral and rosy notes, accompanied by hints of mandarin and blood orange. The palate is wild and spicy, with a crunchy texture and a ginger-infused finish.

Its off-dry character and rich bubbles make it a versatile choice for various occasions. With an alcohol content of 11.8%, this semi-sparkling rosé pairs well with light salads and soft cheeses.
